So my love of threesomes is well documented. And my love of Sam/Jess/Dean is equally documented. But a lot of Sam/Jess/Dean is just like Mona's Transmutation. So.


poisontaster: I was thinking about "how can I do Sam/Jess/Dean and make it DIFFERENT?"

poisontaster: Yeah, exactly. And so I was thinking and I have the START of something, but I don't know where it's going or what it is. But basically, it opens up and Sam and Dean are in the desert stopped by the side of the road. And Dean's like "Dude, nothing's going to happen. What the fuck are we even DOING here? Maybe you just need to admit your vision was a dud." And Sam's getting doubtful too and he's like "Yeah, I don't know. It just...it felt so STRONG. Like we needed to be here or something, I don't know." And then Dean's like *points* "Hey. What's that?" And against all the mirage glare, they see someone walking out of the desert. And then she gets closer and they see it's Jess in the white nightgown from Sam's PREVIOUS vision and she's all sun burnt to fuck and staggering. And they run over to her and Sam's like "JESS??" And Dean's like "CHRISTO!"

poisontaster: And neither one really has any effect. LOL. Well. YEAH. Dean's suspicious! And so Jess doesn't remember anything. She doesn't even know if she's really Jess or just some girl that looks like her.

poisontaster: And then I don't know. I just have the opening and them being stuck with this girl who doesn't even know who she is but looks JUST LIKE JESS and how that affects Sam and how it freaks Dean out and how they come to be a threesome.
txtequilanights: well, I think Sam would be CONVINCED it was Jess and Dean would be convinced that it WASN'T...but he doesn't have any better ideas, so he goes along with calling her Jess and doesn't stop Sam from trying to get her to remember but I also think Sam would probably TOTALLY overwhelm her

txtequilanights: and she's more like Dean, and doesn't know WHAT to think
poisontaster: I'm wondering if they could try and find a way to run her fingerprints or something. Yes.
txtequilanights: because she'd almost rather be some random look-alike than this DEAD girl
poisontaster: Yes. And Sam looks so HUNGRY when he looks at her. He wants something that she has NO IDEA how to give him or if she even WANTS to.
txtequilanights: and being Jess just fucks everything up so much. If she could be someone else, then it was just a mistake and they can find her REAL life and take her back to it
poisontaster: and that would be a nice reversal too. Sam scares her so she falls in love with Dean first and Dean teaches her to see Sam. Yes!
txtequilanights: Right. Dean is the safer of the two. He doesn't want her to be Jess, either. Because if she is, then what if Sam wants her more?
poisontaster: Yes. Because if she's Jess then...yes.
txtequilanights: and he has no problems with Jess or Sam's feelings for her as long as she was DEAD and gone and couldn't get Sam back
poisontaster: but now she's HERE or at least a look alike and it's like losing Sam all over.
txtequilanights: Right...because Sam so clearly WANTS her to be Jess
poisontaster: Yes.
txtequilanights: and it's kind of like...Dean isn't enough? He wants JESS
poisontaster: *nodsnods*
txtequilanights: Which isn't it...because I think to Sam, loving Jess and wanting her to be alive doesn't have anything to do with what he and Dean have. Like…I think he's compartmentalized them like WHOA.
poisontaster: No. Sam has GUILT. He feels bad for what happened to Jess. It's HIS FAULT. And if she's alive, if it's somehow really HER, it's a miracle and a sign that he can be forgiven.
txtequilanights: and if she's NOT dead, then he didn't kill her, yes.
poisontaster: YES.
txtequilanights: and he doesn't understand why Dean is so adamant that it's NOT HER. Because Dean should want Sam to be free of that guilt just as must as Sam does. I mean, Dean's suspicious, sure, but he won't even consider it
poisontaster: Yes. And why else would Sam have had the VISION if it wasn't real
txtequilanights: OH! And the girl, I think, doesn't want to tell Sam that she doesn't WANT to be Jess, because he clearly needs to be so, so bad. And then one night she goes outside and Dean's out there and he calls her Jess and she's like "Don't...call me that." And until then, Dean just assumed that she was onboard with the whole being Jess thing
poisontaster: *beams* Yes.
txtequilanights: like...I think he's mostly been avoiding interacting with her as much as he possibly can, anyway. And then she's saying EXACTLY what he's been thinking about not wanting to be Jess and not being able to handle it, and it's for different reasons, obviously, but it's still the same idea.

txtequilanights: hm...fingerprints. I think Dean brings it up and Sam shoots it down. Because if they come back as not-Jess, then it's over. Like going out of his WAY to not get solid proof like that.
poisontaster: Yes. He doesn't even want to ENTERTAIN the notion that this isn't real.
txtequilanights: but....I see how she would fall in love with Dean...but I think he mostly resents her even being there, no matter how much he's grudgingly coming to like her. And I don't know how it would move PAST that unless he just got ANGRY at Sam, maybe
poisontaster: Well, I think something would have to happen to make him see her as HER instead of Sam's Jess. She has to be real. He needs to see her like he sees the families they protect, you know? I think them sitting outside the room and kind of confessing to Dean that she doesn't know about this whole Jess thing would be a BIG step.
txtequilanights: totally. That she's not all gung-ho on getting Jess's memories back and making a pretty life with Sam and all that jazz.
poisontaster: Yes. And that she's SCARED. That she's this scared girl who doesn't even know who she is or where she belongs or if she even HAS a family.
txtequilanights: right...she can't remember ANYTHING and she's being told that she's been DEAD for over a year
poisontaster: *nods* And I think she has nightmares.
txtequilanights: and that's the only REAL option that's been presented to her. It's not "you could be Jess...or this other girl"
poisontaster: Nothing she can remember, just this sense of darkness and foreboding. *nods* Yes.
txtequilanights: it's YOU ARE JESS, even Dean doesn't know who ELSE she could be. Like, he can say she's probably not Jess, or whatever, but no one has another explanation. No missing girls fitting her description, she's not a demon or possessed
poisontaster: And Dean would probably offer to take her into town and let her turn herself into the police if she wanted. See if they can find her family or whatever. And she doesn't want to do that either because at least Sam and Dean are familiar at this point and she feels safe with them.
txtequilanights: right...they aren't going to hurt her or make her do anything she doesn't want to. Even Sam backs down when she gets uncomfortable with something or it's just too much. And with the cops, it would be tests and hospitals and god only knows what
poisontaster: Yes. And she doesn't trust other people, really. She doesn't know WHAT happened to her, but she knows something DID and for all their weirdness, Sam and Dean have been nothing but protective of her.
txtequilanights: Hmm, I think maybe there could be something that they ARE trying to figure out...a mark or a tattoo or something that clearly MEANS something. And so Sam won't look into anything that makes her Not Jess, but he's all about finding out what the mark is.
poisontaster: Okay, so what we have to decide is...IS THIS REALLY JESS? Or do we want to leave it open ended. That they just don't know?
txtequilanights: hmmm, I like the idea of leaving it open ended, but I think WE need to know.
poisontaster: Yes. To both.
txtequilanights: like, I think eventually she just accepts being Jess....because it's the only option and by then she doesn't want to leave Sam and Dean. But they don't KNOW.
poisontaster: I like the idea of it being the real Jess, but I don't know how to make it. YES.
txtequilanights: and they stop trying to find out what happened to her or what the mark (if she has one) means, because none of them want to find out that it might not be her. After they've all accepted her AS Jess...finding out that she isn't and that she maybe has a whole nother life out there would just fuck it all up too much.
poisontaster: I think that has to be Jess's decision. Like...Sam comes around a bit to accept she MIGHT NOT be Jess and he's like "I found something that might help tell us who your really are!" and she closes the book and is like "It doesn't matter."
txtequilanights: yes! I think he just comes around to wanting what's BEST for her...and being Jess probably isn't it. And he doesn't want to force her into it once he figures out she might not want it
poisontaster: Yes. And she has to be the one to tell them it's okay.
txtequilanights: right...being Jess means she gets to stay with them, which is what she wants. And it's just...a name. She can't remember anything, and Sam's stopped trying to make her, and sometimes he TELLS her stories about before, but even if she is Jess, she's not THAT girl anymore. Like... i guess...Jess is HER now, she's not Jess
poisontaster: I think she'd have sex with Dean first. And Dean would be VERY hesitant about it. Yes, exactly. She's choosing to wear this name, but she's not the girl that Sam remembers.
txtequilanights: but by taking that name...its still letting Sam not be responsible for Jess's death. And, yes, I think she'd have sex with Dean first, too. And to him, it's about betraying Sam, and she has to be like "this isn't about SAM, it's about ME". Also...when does she find out about Sam and Dean? On accident? Do they tell her?
poisontaster: I think she finds out BEFORE she seduces Dean. I have this image of her crowded into his space and saying, "But you fuck him."
txtequilanights: Ooh, yes. Like, she knows and never says anything until then...and Dean's all "how do you?" and she's like "please, its not like you hide it well"
poisontaster: *nodsnods* And I think it's THAT that lets Dean fuck her. That she knew and didn't tell and doesn't hate them for it. She kept their secret.
txtequilanights: right...she accepts it. She accepts THEM. Because, also, even though the whole hunting and demons and so on is totally weird, she never has a knee-jerk "you're crazy" reaction that so many people do. But i think AFTER Dean fucks her he kind of flips and WE CAN'T TELL SAM. And then...Sam finds out...er I'm not that great at plotting
poisontaster: LOL. Well, I think they'd be CLOSER after that, which Sam would notice.
txtequilanights: I think he's already noticed that Jess would rather be around Dean than him
poisontaster: Yes. And I think that makes him weirdly jealous.
txtequilanights: right...because she's supposed to be his
poisontaster: Because this is HIS Jess. Yes.
txtequilanights: and he KNOWS Dean...like, I think just the way Dean talks to her or touches her after, Sam just KNOWS. And confronts Dean, and I think Dean has to be like "maybe she doesn't WANT to be Jess". Because Sam's been so caught up in it all that he can't see how SHE feels about it. Like, Dean has to make them see EACH OTHER, I think.
poisontaster: Yes!
txtequilanights: and Sam has to get that Dean's scared of losing him TO her. That if they find out for sure she's Jess, Sam will just want to leave with her
poisontaster: Yes. And Sam has to say, "I'm not leaving. However this all goes, it's still you and me, Dean." Rachel, why don't I have any SHORT ideas anymore?? *cries*

ROUND TWO:

txtequilanights: Hi honey! SOOO, I was thinking.
poisontaster: Oui?
txtequilanights: Like, Dean and Sam get Jess her own room, because...you know...easier AND they can still have the buttsex. Dean's idea, because if she's there ALL THE TIME, then there's no time that Sam is HIS. Anyway
poisontaster: *nods* Well, and there's the question of HER comfort. They're strangers.
txtequilanights: right, that too. Point is: separate room
poisontaster: Strange MEN. And Jess may be amnesiac, but she's not going to feel comfortable just shacking up with two men she doesn't know, however nice they are. Yes.
txtequilanights: but they always make sure they can get her a room NEXT to theirs, preferably with the connecting door things, just in case. 'Cause Sam's all paranoid she's going to disappear/die again and he won't be able to save her, again. ANYWAY, and, um, you can veto this hardcore if you WANT. but I was thinking that Sam's already asleep one night, and Dean goes outside for whatever reason...to get something out of the car or just to get some air or WHATEVER and doesn't bring a key and gets locked out. and the light in Jess's room is still on, so instead of waking Sam up, he knocks on her door to get her to let him through the connecting doors, cause Sam always keeps their side unlocked. And he asks and she lets him in and is kind of watching him and is like "or you could just stay here" and he's like ?!?!?! 'Cause, like, I think when they fuck, Jess is going to have to be seriously with the aggressive.
poisontaster: And Dean gets all paranoid and he's like "Look...I know what happened happened and I'm not trying to pretend it didn't, but we can't make a habit of this." And Jess is like "Why not?" Now. The question is...do they screw in the bathroom? Because my vote is yes.
txtequilanights: hee, THAT time or....at some point in general?
poisontaster: At that point.
txtequilanights: I...kind of like the idea of Dean being like "we just CAN'T" and just pushing and pushing and "yes, we can. Dean, we can" and him trying to get her to be quiet so Sam doesn't wake up and she just won't and OOOOOH if he like grabbed her by the arms and pushed her back into the bathroom and up against the wall and "fine, you wanna do this?" And she's like "yes." And what if afterwards, when he goes back into the other room, he just CAN'T get in bed with Sam, so he gets in the other one, and in the morning Sam's like "what're you doing over there?" and Dean says something lame about Sam's bony elbows or some shit and Sam is like "....you fucked her again". And Dean's like "not now, Sam" and goes and gets in the shower or something. I think eventually Sam is going to have to say something to JESS about it. because...Dean telling him that she doesn't want to be Jess and that it's too much for her is one thing, but hearing it FROM HER...
poisontaster: I think they'd actually have a pretty big fight about it. Because Sam is practically tied in knots at this point, because either Dean's cheating on him or Jess is and he's just CONFUSED and hurt and angry and he doesn't know what to DO with all of it. And I think he'd lash out at Dean because he knows he CAN. And Dean would be like "FIRST OF ALL, you do not have a leash on my ass. I'm not your boyfriend, I'm your brother. SECOND OF ALL, if you spent TWO SECONDS treating her like a REAL FUCKING GIRL instead of your DEAD girlfriend, maybe she wouldn't be crawling up MY fucking jock all the time!" And then...maybe as they get louder, Jess hears them and SHE finally bursts in and is like "You know what? If I'm this much trouble, I can just LEAVE!" And she storms out and Sam and Dean of course run after her and Dean's like "Look, if you want to leave then let us take you somewhere" and Sam has to face up to the fact that even if she IS Jess, she's not HIS Jess.
txtequilanights: *nodnod* I think Dean would try to AVOID the fighting, though. Like saying they aren't going to do that now and trying to leave and Sam grabs him and jerks him back and shoves him around and is like "yes. we ARE." and then Dean has just had ENOUGH.
poisontaster: Yes! Because he's rattling between the two of them like it's Sam and Dad all over again. He's stuck in the middle and he HATES it. Especially if it's just going to end up in Sam leaving again anyway.
txtequilanights: and I think he kind of feels like maybe he's just being used in all this...like...Jess fucking him will just lead to Sam fucking Jess and then Sam'll have what he wants and he'll leave.
poisontaster: Yes. And despite what he says, he does have MASSIVE guilt about fucking Jess. He just doesn't even know what else to DO for her.
txtequilanights: right! like, and I think the first time it happens, he apologizes to Sam, because he DOES feel so bad and they have sex and Sam doesn't seem mad at him and never says anything to Jess and it just kind of gets glossed over? in that way that none of them can stop thinking about it but they're just PRETENDING it didn't happen. Until it happens again. Once could be an accident but twice is a THING
poisontaster: Yes. And on some level, Sam is afraid that this new Jess bonding with Dean will lead to HIM getting shut out by the two people he's always loved most in the world.
txtequilanights: right! He's already hurt that Jess likes Dean better, but if this keeps up and Dean likes JESS better then there's no room left for Sam. I also think he doesn't get how Dean can fuck her and act like it shouldn't matter that he slept with someone who wasn't Sam, even if it HADN'T been Jess. The "I'm not your boyfriend, I'm your brother" thing HURTS. Because for all of this, Sam's never even thought of FUCKING Jess, because in his head, he's with Dean....because that's how he THINKS. And Dean is more....what does it matter if he fucks other people, they'll never MEAN what Sam does. Even with Jess, he's just trying to...help her
poisontaster: Yes. And, too...Sam has never (at this point) made Dean any promises.
You know? And Dean's afraid to tie ALL of himself back into Sam because it almost KILLED him when Sam left for Stanford.
txtequilanights: exactly, but I think in PRACTICE that's been more of a mental thing, like since he and Sam started fucking (again? I always assume they were fucking pre-series...in almost any 'verse) there just hasn't been anyone else he's wanted to sleep with....so it hasn't come up. Like, if Cassie was BEFORE.....I might be making this too complicated
poisontaster: LOL. No, I totally agree. Yes, I always think they were fucking or at least fucking AROUND pre series too. Cassie was before, I think. And yes, there hasn't been anyone else. But Dean doesn't like Sam just ASSUMING that.
txtequilanights: right! Because Sam did just assume Dean saw THEM the same way he did, but he never ASKED or said anything about it
poisontaster: yes! And this is DEAN. He might BE dick-whipped, but he doesn't want to THINK OF HIMSELF (or have anyone else think of him) that way.
txtequilanights: yes! Exactly. And Sam is all ready to tattoo his name on Dean's face and Dean is just not HAVING THAT. M'kay, so, Jess says she's leaving, Dean says to let them take her somewhere.....then what? Sam really, really doesn't want her to leave, I don't think, even with everything
poisontaster: I think they go back to the room for Jess to pack up the few things they've bought for her in the meantime and Sam is asking her not to leave. And she's like "Why? Why should I stay?" And Sam breaks down.
txtequilanights: like...if she leaves then she's not Jess and Jess IS dead and it's HIS FAULT, still
poisontaster: Yes. And Jess doesn't really WANT to leave.
txtequilanights: she doesn't have anywhere to GO, and they're the only people she knows
poisontaster: Yes. And she likes them both and she feels SAFE with them both. She just doesn't know where she FITS IN. And when Sam breaks down like this, she feels like she finally is seeing the Sam Dean's been telling her about. The kid that "Jess" was in love with.
txtequilanights: yes....and I think she already has this weird affection for him and is kind of amazed at how DETERMINED he is in all of this. Like, he hasn't given up and as much as she doesn't like being shoehorned into being this other girl, I think part of her DOES want to be Jess, because he wants it so much. It's not, choosing Dean OVER him, it's just DIFFERENT
poisontaster: Yeah, I think Jess LIKES them both. Sam just kind of scares her sometimes with how DEEP he wants her to be this other girl. He believes SO HARD. It's intense. But it's also kind of hot. That he would love "her" that much. That she (or someone like her) would inspire that kind of loyalty.
txtequilanights: right! She's got this totally hot, badass demon hunter dude and he is ALL ABOUT HER And...Yeah, that's hot. Scary, but....hot. And the whole...fucking his (equally hot) brother thing is...you know, really fucked up, but...also hot. I think Sam has this whole emo angst fest going on and he mentions how fucked up she must think he and Dean are and she's like "well, yes, but....it's kinda hot" and he's like "**blink?**"
poisontaster: *grins* Yes. I'm wondering if we want this to be the scene where the THREE of them get together for the first time. Like...Sam's all broken and sort of weepy and Dean's kind of there and arms folded and watching to see what happens. And...okay.
txtequilanights: She kisses Sam or whatever and he's like "...Dean?" and Dean's all "dude, don't mind ME...I'll just…be right here". But I think Sam is still kind of freaked out and this had kind of thrown him and he's like "I don't know if I can..." and Dean's like "oh, for the love of god" and gets on the bed WITH them. Because I don't think Sam can do that with Jess without Dean THERE...at that point, at least
poisontaster: No, totally not. Because none of this has really been about Jess sexually.
txtequilanights: I think Sam's been kind of afraid to touch her much at all. Which confuses her...because he clearly loves her so much and wants her to remember so badly, but he won't even touch her unless he has to.
poisontaster: *nodsnods* But then she's kissing him and all of a sudden, he's grabbing her and he's so HUNGRY.
txtequilanights: and it scares him....and he just NEEDS Dean there
poisontaster: And more than that, he WANTS Dean there. He doesn't want anything if Dean's not a part of it. And I think he'd say that.
txtequilanights: right...because at one point Jess might have come first, but DEAN does now and I think Dean actually might be kind of hesitant about really getting involved until Sam's like "I don't want this if you're not here" because he needs to HEAR that....that Sam wants him and not just Jess
poisontaster: And I think Sam would want Jess to understand...THESE are the terms. If you want me, you get both of us. If you can't handle that, don't start with me.
txtequilanights: well, Dean, too....if she wants Dean, Sam's not going to let her have him unless it's BOTH of them
txtequilanights: and Jess is...you know, FINE with that. It's a lot more like fitting in. Because with anything else, she would felt like she was coming between them or taking one of them away or just...creating badness there.
poisontaster: Yes. But if she can have them BOTH, if she can fit in the spaces BETWEEN them, that could work.
txtequilanights: well, its the difference between fitting in between them and shoving her way there. The shoving would have broken them apart and whichever way it ended up, eventually they both would have blamed her.
poisontaster: Yes. And she would have ended up with nothing.
txtequilanights: and STILL wouldn't have known who she was
poisontaster: Yes.
