I have this weird idea of Jess following him to Cassie's and watching and then getting ROYALLY PISSED and being like "You don't get to walk out on this just because you're freaked out! Do you think this is how I planned my life to go either? But you're IN THIS, Dean and you don't get to just fuck around like it doesn't matter. Like I'm not YOUR GIRL too!"

mona1347 Well the more I think, the more I'm feeling like this verse is TOTALLY FUCKED UP and our feelings about not wanting Dean to fuck Cassie are PRECISELY why he needs to do it. Because it'll be this like epically wrong, big giant WEDGE in the happy OT3ness of it all. Like, we don't want him to do it b/c it WILL hurt that bad. And he's SO WRONG. And will really drive home the way Dean is feeling like the interloper. Because you've already gone there with Sam feeling like the interloper and Jess OBVOUSLY feels like the interloper. And it's Dean being all INSANELY STUPID AND WRONG but self-sacrificing.
Like, too dramatic or something. This verse is...blunter than that.
